Holiday Punch is made with 4-ingredients; cranberry and pineapple juice, frozen lemonade, and lemon-lime soda. This delicious and festive holiday party drink is one of my most popular holiday recipes!

Takes a few minutes to make, refreshing, non alcoholic, sweet and tangy flavors and pop of fizziness. Serve in a pouring pitcher, drink dispenser or punch bowl with ice ring. Grandma’s recipe has been shared nearly 400,000 times!

This Holiday punch recipe is a must have for the holiday season! This is my go-to party punch recipe that still remains a family-favorite. We’ve been making this easy holiday punch for years!

Every year we celebrated Christmas at my grandparents house the weekend before Christmas. This is my grandmother’s Christmas punch recipe. Each family member would bring a home cooked dish to the holiday gathering.

My mom always made baked beans, holiday punch and a festive ice ring to go with it. (Just pour water into a Bundt pan, a few inches at a time along with layers of fruit.)

    • Only 4 ingredients – Throw this punch together in less than 5-minutes!

    Ingredients needed

    • Cranberry Juice – Sweet and tart cranberry juice is perfect and festive for the holidays.
    • Pineapple Juice – Fresh pineapple juice add sweet, yet tart flavors to this punch recipe.
    • Frozen Lemonade – Frozen lemonade adds such great flavor to this punch. Locate it easily in the freezer section near the frozen berries.
    • Lemon-Lime Soda – Gives it a splash of citrus and fizzy. Use whatever brand you prefer, I used Sprite. You can also use Ginger ale for this Christmas punch recipe.
    • Fresh Cranberries – Add fresh or frozen cranberries for a pop of color for a garnish.
    • Orange Slices – Fresh orange slices are a nice touch for a garnish. Also add them to your ice ring (directions below!)
    Ingredients for holiday punch.

    How to make Christmas Punch

    • Step 1: Squeeze the container of frozen lemonade into a large drink dispenser or punch bowl.
    • Step 2: Add the cranberry juice cocktail and pineapple juice. Gently stir to combine. Add lemon-lime soda just prior to serving. Add plenty of ice or an ice ring.
    • Step 3: Serve over ice and garnish with slices of oranges and fresh or frozen cranberries.

Want to prep this holiday punch ahead of time? Simply mix all of the ingredients together in a pouring pitcher (minus the lemon-lime soda) and refrigerate overnight. Add the soda just prior to serving so it stays fresh and has lots of fizz!

I love serving some fun drinks when I entertaining during the holidays. For hot drinks, I love making mulled apple cider. Which is just adding Aspen mulling spice to a gallon of apple cider, heating it up over low-medium heat. Then serving warm (keep it warm in a crockpot or stainless steel airpot.)

For cold drinks, I serve this Christmas punch and always get rave reviews! Christmas punch is refreshing and the perfect blend of tart and sweet. It also looks beautiful on your buffet table. Your punch will be ready to serve in a matter of minutes!

How to make an Ice Ring for Punch

    • Step 1: Pour a little water into the bottom of a Bundt or fluted tube cake pan. Add slices of orange slices, lime slices, and cranberries. Freeze until set.
    • Step 2: Working in layers, continue to add water a little at a time and layers of fruit until the pan is full. Place back in the freezer with each layer added.
    • Step 3: Let the ice ring freeze for several hours or overnight to fully set.
    • Step 4: Remove from the pan– Invert the pan and run hot water on the exterior of the pan to easily remove the ice ring. Set on a sheet pan and keep in the freezer until you are ready to use.
Two stemless glasses of holiday punch, cranberries and orange slices, ice cubes in glassses.

This Christmas punch is super easy to make and not too sweet. Be sure and serve over plenty of ice. To make holiday punch with sherbet, simply add a scoop of orange sherbet to each glass before you pour the holiday punch. How delicious does that sound?!

    Recipe FAQs

How do you keep the drink dispenser nozzle from getting clogged?

Get some faux ice cubes and fill the bottom of your drink dispenser with them, just up to the nozzle. This will prevent any fruit pieces, etc. from clogging the nozzle and keep your drinks flowing nicely! Find them on Amazon.

Can I add alcohol to holiday punch?

Yes! Want to make this an adult beverage? Add ½-2/3 cup of rum or vodka to the recipe.

Should I double the recipe for 24 people? This recipe looks amazing! Also looking to add rum. Would a dark spiced rum like captain Morgan be a good choice?

        Yes KG.
I would highly recommend doubling the recipe for 24 people. You can add a spiced rum, that would be delicious. Or serve it on the side for those who want to spike their punch, giving them the option.

Hi! Making this recipe for an upcoming Christmas dinner party. The can of pineapple juice you have shown in the picture, did you pour that entire can in your punch? Or did you measure out 14oz of that can of pineapple juice in a measuring cup? I read the recipe about using a 14oz container of pineapple juice and that you told another commenter that the recipe is correct, however, if you used that entire can that you have shown in your picture, then that is a 46oz can of pineapple juice and you might have misread the label because the label also says 1 QT 14 FL OZ and can easily be misread as just 14 FL OZ. That is definitely not a 14oz can in your picture. It is definitely a 46oz can because when I zoomed in on it, the label says 1.36L, which is 46oz. So did you use the entire can you have shown in the picture (which would be 46oz)? Or just 14oz as your recipe calls for (which would require measuring out 14oz from it)? I’m asking all this only because I just want to be sure it turns out as amazing as you say it will which makes me feel like I need to do exactly what what you do! That’s why I’m trying to clarify. Thank you in advance! ☺️

        Christy,
Go ahead and print out the recipe card for your reference and grocery shopping. We always double the batch, so the picture just shows a can of pineapple juice I had in the house! Merry Christmas.

You keep saying to print out the recipe card but a lot of us think it’s a typo for the size can of pineapple juice. Could you please clarify directly is this is a 14 oz can which I don’t think they make or is it a 46 oz can. This would make a world of difference in the punch flavor.

The ingredients are in the recipe card, which you can print. YES. as it states, 14-ounce can of pineapple juice. There’s NO typo. It’s our most popular recipe. (Though the confusion comes from the ingredients shot, where all we could find in the store that year was a big can!!)

I can’t find a pineapple juice that is 14 ounce. The can in picture looks big like a 64 ounce one. Is there a typo or is 14 ounce correct?

It’s a great punch recipe! If you cannot find frozen lemonade in your area you can always use a few scoops of powdered lemonade mix. That always works well too!

The frozen ice ring fits in a full size punch bowl. OR you can make mini Bundt ice rings to go inside the glass drink dispenser.
