I’m Jessica. I was born and raised on a small farm in Connecticut where my family raised hogs, produced pure maple syrup, and grew much of our own food. Today, I live in Graham, North Carolina with my husband and two sons. I’m a cookbook author, freelance recipe developer, and food photographer. I’m an All-American home cook who is farm-taught and well-versed in canning, making homemade jams, pickles, barbecue sauce, cakes, and confections.
A Farmgirl’s Kitchen started a few years back with a bunch of heirloom recipes from my parents farm. Two cookbooks later, and much recipe testing later, I’m still creating tasty recipes. On a weekly basis I’m creating recipes for Food Lion and other companies, along with recipes for my website. All of my recipes are farm-inspired with a modern twist for the active family.
