Welcome to A Farmgirl’s Kitchen, where you’ll find farm-inspired quality recipes, behind the scenes on the farm, household tips, and meals your entire family will love. I am a home cook who creates wholesome family meals, homemade pies and baked goods and home canning to preserve foods using easy to find ingredients.
My husband and I along with our two sons currently live in North Carolina, where we building our homestead on over 14-acres. Stay tuned for as we embark on building a generational farmhouse with a large working kitchen and butlers pantry.
A Farmgirl’s Kitchen started about seven years ago with a collection of heirloom recipes from our family farm, in Connecticut where we raised hogs, produced pure maple syrup, and grew much of our own food. Much of my knowledge comes from working many hours in the commercial kitchen on the farm.
Two cookbooks later, and much recipe testing later, A Farmgirl’s Kitchen has continued to grow and be blessed with a loyal readership. I’m constantly working through the heirloom collection of recipes and posting old-fashioned family recipes.
If you love all the recipes grandma used to make, including Buttermilk Biscuits, Apple Hand Pies, Homemade Banana Bread, Bread and Butter Pickles, Pickled Peppers and baking or cooking in cast iron, we need to be friends!
Our social media following continues to grow on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and YouTube. Our family is blessed to have such an amazing group of people following along for every recipe and garden project!
Every recipe you make, comment and rate on my website supports my business, and allows me to provide this recipe content for free. You’re feedback is priceless. If you’ve made something you enjoyed, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment and a star rating on the recipe!
