Honey Orange Chicken Recipe
This Orange chicken is so simple to make using everyday ingredients. It makes it easy to get a quick and delicious dinner on the table in no time! Don’t you love meals that are easy to make and have simple to find ingredients?!
I’ve got fresh rosemary and thyme growing in my Victory Garden. But, you can use whatever fresh herbs you prefer for this orange glazed chicken.

How to roast chicken in the oven:
Step 1: Mix all ingredients for the orange honey glaze in a small bowl. Reserve half in a small bowl to serve with the chicken. Use the rest to baste while the chicken cooks.
Step 2: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 3: Line a half sheet pan with aluminum foil. Place the chicken breasts with the bone-side down on the half sheet pan. Brush with the melted butter, sprinkle with paprika, onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Brush with a little orange honey glaze. Insert a digital thermometer so you can check the internal temperature.
Step 4: Cook for 30 minutes, then continue to baste with orange honey glaze every 10 minutes until the chicken is done. Allow the chicken to rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with the reserved orange honey glaze. Sprinkle with fresh rosemary and thyme before serving.

Ingredients
- 2 half chicken breasts bone-in and skin on (or chicken thighs)
- 3 tablespoons butter melted
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary chopped fine
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- salt and black pepper to taste

- ¾ cup honey
- zest of one orange
- ½ cup fresh orange juice
- ¼ cup apple cider
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- salt and black pepper to taste
