sangria with fresh peaches in a clear glass drink dispenser

Summer Sangria is an easy and refreshing summer drink made with white wine, Moscato and fresh peach slices with a splash of lemon-lime soda. White wine sangria is super easy to make with only a few ingredients.

This sangria recipe is a crowd pleaser and made only 6-ingredients that you can whip together in minutes! Moscato wine adds a touch of sweetness to this white sangria.

I love summer – it’s one of my favorite times of year. The vegetable garden is in full-bloom with summer produce, afternoon thunderstorms, walks on the beach and grilling. Each summer we make Bread and Butter Pickles, Refrigerated Dill Pickles, Pickled Peppers and Marinara Sauce.

Red wine sangria is the most popular sangria, but I love the refreshing lighter flavor of a white wine sangria, especially during hot summer months. This white sangria recipe can be made in advance and refrigerated.

Summer Sangria is refreshing and the perfect drink for your backyard gatherings and picnics. This summer you’re guests are guaranteed to be loving sipping on this easy sangria recipe as they enjoy your backyard gathering or picnic.

    Why this recipe works

    • Simple to make with easy to find ingredients.
    • Makes a great adult summer drink.
    • Adjust the sweetness as needed and add in your favorite fruit.

    What you’ll need

    • White Wine – Use a dry white wine you wouldn’t mind drinking on it’s own. We recommend chardonnay or sauvignon blanc.
    • Brandy – Choose whatever brand of brandy you prefer.
    • Simple syrup – Granulated sugar has a hard time dissolving into a cold drink. Equal parts of sugar and water heated in a small saucepan just until the sugar is dissolved.
    • Guava nectar – Use guava or mango nectar. Easily located in the International foods aisle near the authentic Mexican items.
    • Fresh Fruit – Use as much or as little as you prefer. For this sangria recipe we used fresh peaches. But, we also love a mixture of red and green apples and oranges sliced. (Be sure and use faux ice cubes in your drink dispenser so the nozzle doesn’t get clogged!!!)
    • Lemon-Lime soda – Adds a pop of fizziness to this white sangria recipe.

For more refreshing summer drink recipes be sure and try Peach Sweet Tea, Raspberry Iced Tea, Strawberry Lemonade, Watermelon Sangria, and Blackberry Raspberry Lemonade.

If you prefer a less sweet sangria, simply add less simple syrup.

How to make White Wine Sangria

    • Combine ingredients – Simply pour the wine, simple syrup, and brandy into a large drink dispenser. Add plenty of ice along with ample slices of fresh peaches.
    • Add fruit or citrus – You could really add any fruit to this you desire. For many white sangria recipes, I tend to add a mix of orange, and apples slices. This sangria recipe with triple sec is super easy to make.
    • Chill ingredients – Chill this sangria for a minimum of 1 hour so the flavors have time to marry.
    • Add Lemon-lime soda – Add lemon-lime soda prior to serving for a bit of flavor and fizz.
    • Serve – Let the sangria refrigerate for a few hours to allow the flavors to fully develop. Then serve with plenty of ice, slices of peaches, oranges and/or lemons and a sprig of mint, if desired.

What is the best wine for sangria?

For this sangria we recommend a dry white wine. The best wine for sangria is Pinot Grigio, dry Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc.

Select an inexpensive bottle as you will be adding other alcohol and fruit juices into the sangria. But nothing so cheap you wouldn’t drink it.

What is the best fruit to put in sangria?

You can use almost any fruit in sangria, the common choice is slices of oranges, lemons and limes. We love using cherries, grapes (cut in half), peaches and apple slices in sangria. (Granny Smith apples and Honeycrisp cut into wedges are beautiful in sangria!)

    Does sangria need sugar?

Sangria generally has fruit and fruit juices, so you want to start with dry white wine or dry red wine. Since granulated sugar will not dissolve well in cold drinks, we add a simple syrup to our sangria recipes.

Simple syrup is just equal parts of sugar and water in a small saucepan, brought to a simmering boil over low to medium heat. Stir frequently to dissolve and keep the sugar from burning. (Refrigerate simple syrup for up to 2 weeks to keep fresh.)

Having a backyard picnic? Set up a drink station with a few different options. These drink dispensers are reasonably priced and display your sangria and mixed drinks wonderfully.

    Recipe FAQs

How do you keep the drink dispenser nozzle from getting clogged?

Get some faux ice cubes and fill the bottom of your drink dispenser with them, just up to the nozzle. This will prevent any fruit pieces, etc. from clogging the nozzle and keep your drinks flowing nicely! Find them on Amazon.

How long does white wine sangria last?

If kept refrigerated or chilled, it will last for a few days. But it is best enjoyed the day its made.

Great tip with the fake icecubes to prevent the nozzle from clogging. I’d love to try a non-alcoholic version.
