S'mores bars in a square baking pan

Do you remember the how making S’mores as a kid made you feel? These S’mores Bars is graham crackers, melted chocolate, gooey marshmallows, and a touch of peanut butter in a delicious cookie bar.

And oh so good! Love melted chocolate? Try my Chocolate Chip cookie recipe.

I love s’mores- graham crackers, melted chocolate, and toasted marshmallows. Melted gooey chocolate and sticky melted marshmallow stretches out all of your fingers. And your only option is to lick every bit of it! Read all about the history of s’mores here. And try my Seven Layer Bars.

These S’more bars are so good and so easy to make. Perfect when you’re looking for a quick dessert.

    How to make S’more bars:

Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugars and butter. Add the vanilla and one egg at a time and combine.

Step 2: Add the flour, graham cracker crumbs, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Combine thoroughly. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl occasionally with a rubber spatula.

Step 3: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Prepare a 9x.9-inch square baking pan by spraying it with cooking spray.

Step 4: Press about half to three quarters of the cookie base into the bottom of the prepared pan with your fingers.

Step 5: Break the chocolate bars into pieces and place evenly on top of the cookie base. Spoon fluff out evenly onto the chocolate pieces. Then pour the melted peanut butter over top of the fluff.

Step 6: Use your hands to press the remainder of the cookie base flat and put on top of the fluff and peanut butter.

Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and not soft in the center. Let cool almost completely before slicing.

Did you know you can make S’mores at home without the campfire? Place squares of graham crackers on a half sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Layer with marshmallows and place under the broiler for a few minutes. (Keep a good eye on this or they will burn quickly!) Once the marshmallow is toasted, remove from the oven and place a piece of milk chocolate on top. Then add another square of graham cracker. Enjoy while they are warm!

Be sure and try my French Toast recipe, S’mores French Toast, Banana Pancakes, and S’more Seven Layer Bars.
