dinner rolls in cast iron skillet.

Homemade dinner rolls have never been easier and more delicious than store-bought ones. Quick Dinner Rolls are easy to make with this beginner dinner rolls recipe.

Nothing tastes better than homemade dinner rolls, Krispy Kreme Donut Recipe, or Apple Fritters. . My mom had her own homemade baking business when we were little kids. And so much of that handcrafted, home-baked goodness stuck with me.

When you bake it yourself it means so much more. The effort put into mixing, measuring and pouring – brings such sweet pleasures of joy and makes it worth all the work. And with Fleischmann’s 150 years of experience, you can  proudly bake quality, yeast recipes you’re excited to share. Because sharing with friends, family, and neighbors what you’ve baked yourself expresses much more than any words. To make these soft dinner rolls even tastier, I added fresh rosemary and grated Parmesan cheese.

How to make Homemade Dinner Rolls

Step 1: Be sure and follow the directions on the package of Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Yeast. Add water heated to 120˚F-130˚F and follow recipe instructions. Always use a thermometer to check temperature. If you don’t have a thermometer, just be sure the water isn’t too hot or it will kill the yeast. Also, check the expiration date to ensure it is not expired.

Step 2: Combine ¾ cup flour, sugar, dry yeast and salt in a large mixer bowl and stir until blended. Combine milk, water and butter in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH in 15 second increments until very warm but not hot to the touch (120° to 130°Butter won’t melt completely). Add to flour mixture.

Step 3: Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally. Add ¼ cup flour; beat 2 minutes at high speed. Add chopped rosemary and Parmesan cheese. Stir in just enough of the remaining flour (1 to 1-¼ cups) so that the dough will form into a ball.

Step 4: Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic and springs back when lightly pressed with 2 fingers, about 6 to 8 minutes.

Step 5: Cover with a towel; let rest for 10 minutes.

Step 6: Cut dough into 12 equal pieces; shape into balls using your hands.

Step 7: Place in greased 8-inch round or square pan. Cover with towel; let rise in warm place until doubled in size, about 30 minutes.

Fleischmann’s Instant Yeast helps simplify the baking process for new bakers so they can approach yeast recipes with ease. This yeast only requires one rise. Try making my Pizza Dough, Cast Iron Cinnamon Rolls, and Sourdough Bread. Follow the directions on the package of yeast for creating great recipes.

Step 8: Bake in preheated 375ºF oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan by running a knife around the edges and invert onto wire rack; brush with additional melted butter, if desired. Serve warm.

I made these easy dinner rolls in a 8-inch cast iron dual-handle pan. Just spray the pan with cooking spray before putting the rolls into the pan. These cast iron dinner rolls are so easy to make and be perfect for everyday meals or the holidays.

These easy to make dinner rolls would be perfect with a big ole bowl of my Homestyle Chili Recipe, Loaded Potato Soup, Slow Cooker Beef Stew, Sausage and Vegetable Soup, and Boeuf Bourguignon.
