Ingredients

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar plus more for dusting cookies
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated maple sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, sugars and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time and add the vanilla.
  • Sift together the dry ingredients. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir to combine. Mix in the chocolate chips. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on baking sheets, leaving enough room for them to spread a little.
  • Place granulated sugar in a small bowl. Dip a fork in the sugar and press the fork into the cookies, making a crisscross pattern. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Remove cookies from the oven and cool on a baking rack.
